Neck Support

Whether you're a runner, cyclist, hiker, or swimmer, neck pain can be a common issue that hinders your performance and enjoyment of activities. TrailMed's Kinesiology Tape (K tape) is an excellent solution for providing pain relief and support to these areas, allowing you to stay active and comfortable.

Follow these simple steps to tape your neck:

  1. Clean and Dry: Ensure the area is clean and dry to help the tape adhere better and stay in place longer.

  2. Measure and Cut: Cut one piece of K tape long enough to cover the neck area. Round the corners of the tape to prevent it from peeling off easily.

  3. Anchor the Tape on the Neck: Look slightly down and start by anchoring one end of the first piece of tape at the base of your skull, extending it down along the side of your neck. Apply the tape with a slight stretch, smoothing it down as you go.

  4. Smooth & Secure the Edges: Make sure the edges are securely adhered to your skin, gently press down the tape to ensure it sticks well and check comfort by moving your neck gently to ensure the tape feels comfortable and provides the desired support without restricting movement.

Infrasspin and Supraspin (Rotator Cuff)

Whether you're a runner, cyclist, hiker, or swimmer, pain can be a common issue that hinders your performance and enjoyment of activities. TrailMed's Kinesiology Tape (K tape) is an excellent solution for providing pain relief and support to these areas, allowing you to stay active and comfortable.

TrailMed K-Tape, Infrasspin and Supraspin (Rotator Cuff)

Follow these simple steps to tape your rotator cuff:

  1. Clean and Dry: Ensure the area is clean and dry to help the tape adhere better and stay in place longer.

  2. Measure and Cut: This application requires two pieces of K-tape. For the Infraspinatus: Measure a piece of tape long enough to cover the main belly of the infraspinatus muscle, which is located on the back of your shoulder blade. For the Supraspinatus: Measure a second piece of tape long enough to cover the supraspinatus muscle, which is located on the top of your shoulder blade.

  3. Anchor the Tape: Anchor one end of the tape (no stretch) just below and slightly inward from the bony prominence on your shoulder blade spine for the infraspinatus, and just below the top of your shoulder blade spine for the supraspinatus. Apply with moderate (50-75%) stretch along the infraspinatus muscle belly (outwards and slightly upwards towards the back of your arm), and with light to moderate (25-50%) stretch along the supraspinatus muscle belly (upwards and slightly outwards towards the top of your shoulder). Finish the last 1-2 inches of both applications with no stretch.

  4. Smooth & Secure the Edges: Ensure the edges of both pieces of tape are securely adhered to your skin. Gently press down the entire length of both strips to ensure they stick well. Check for comfort by gently moving your arm in different directions to ensure the tape feels supportive without restricting your movement.
