TrailMed | K-Tape | Support | Knee

TrailMed K-Tape is a fantastic tool for providing support and pain relief for the knees, particularly for athletes such as cyclists, runners, and walkers. This taping method can help alleviate discomfort and provide stability for various knee-related injuries and conditions, enabling you to maintain peak performance and reduce the risk of further injury. It is especially effective for conditions such as patellar tendonitis, runner's knee (patellofemoral pain syndrome), IT band syndrome, and general knee pain and strain.

Follow These Simple Steps to Tape Your Knees

  1. Prepare the Tape: Cut two strips of TrailMed K-Tape, each about 10-12 inches long. Round the corners of the tape to prevent peeling.

  2. Anchor Strip: Peel the backing off one strip and apply it horizontally across the lower thigh, just above the knee. Rub the tape to activate the adhesive.

  3. Support Strip: Peel the backing off the second strip and apply it vertically along the outer edge of the knee, starting from the lower thigh and extending down to the upper calf. Rub the tape to ensure it adheres well.

  4. Tension Strip: For additional support, cut a shorter strip of tape (around 6-8 inches) and apply it diagonally across the knee cap. Apply the tape with moderate tension to provide extra stability.

  5. Final Adjustments: Ensure the tape is securely in place and make any necessary adjustments to ensure comfort and proper support.

  6. Rub the Tape: Rub the tape gently to activate the adhesive and ensure it sticks well to your skin.
