TrailMed | K-Tape | Support | Quads
TrailMed K-Tape is a valuable tool for athletes, providing support and pain relief for the quadriceps. This taping method is ideal for cyclists, runners, and walkers who often experience muscle fatigue, strains, or injuries in their quads. Properly applying K-Tape can help stabilize the muscles, reduce pain, and enhance performance.
Follow These Simple Steps to Tape Your Quads
Prepare the Tape: Cut two strips of TrailMed K-Tape, each about 18-20 inches long. Round the corners of the tape to prevent peeling.
Anchor Strip: Peel the backing off one strip and apply it horizontally across the upper thigh, just below the hip. Rub the tape to activate the adhesive.
Support Strip: Peel the backing off the second strip and apply it vertically along the center of the quadriceps muscle, starting from the upper thigh and extending down to just above the knee. Rub the tape to ensure it adheres well.
Tension Strip: For additional support, cut a shorter strip of tape (around 8-10 inches) and apply it diagonally across the quadriceps muscle, crossing the first two strips. Apply the tape with moderate tension to provide extra stability.
Final Adjustments: Ensure the tape is securely in place and make any necessary adjustments to ensure comfort and proper support.
Rub the Tape: Rub the tape gently to activate the adhesive and ensure it sticks well to your skin.
