TrailMed | K-Tape | Support | Lower Back
TrailMed K-Tape is designed to provide effective support and pain relief for various body parts, including the lower back. By properly applying K-Tape to your lower back, you can stabilize the area, reduce muscle tension, and alleviate discomfort associated with conditions like muscle strains, spasms, and chronic back pain. This taping method is especially beneficial for athletes such as runners, cyclists, walkers, and swimmers who often experience lower back pain due to repetitive motions and strain.
Follow These Simple Steps to Tape Your Lower Back
Prepare the Tape: Cut two strips of TrailMed K-Tape, each about 12-14 inches long. Round the corners of the tape to prevent peeling.
Anchor Strip: Peel the backing off one strip and apply it horizontally across the lower back, just above the waistband. Rub the tape to activate the adhesive.
Support Strip: Peel the backing off the second strip and apply it vertically along the spine, starting from the base of the back and extending upward. Rub the tape to ensure it adheres well.
Tension Strip: For additional support, cut a shorter strip of tape (around 6 inches) and apply it diagonally across the lower back, crossing the first two strips. Apply the tape with moderate tension to provide extra stability.
Final Adjustments: Ensure the tape is securely in place and make any necessary adjustments to ensure comfort and proper support.
Rub the Tape: Rub the tape gently to activate the adhesive and ensure it sticks well to your skin.
