TrailMed | K-Tape | Blister Care | Heels

Blisters on the heel can be especially painful and disruptive to your daily activities, especially when walking, running, or hiking. TrailMed's Kinesiology Tape (K tape) is an excellent solution for both preventing and treating these blisters, offering superior adhesion and long-lasting protection compared to traditional blister plasters.

Follow these simple steps to tape blisters on the heel of your foot:

  1. Clean and Dry: Ensure the area is clean and dry to help the tape adhere better and stay in place longer.

  2. Measure and Cut: Cut a piece of K tape long enough to cover the blister and a bit beyond the edges. Round the corners of the tape to prevent it from peeling off easily.

  3. Anchor the Tape: Place the center of the tape over the blister on your heel, ensuring that both ends extend beyond the blistered area.

  4. Wrap the Heel: Gently wrap the tape around the heel, making sure to cover the blister area. Ensure the tape is snug but not too tight to allow for natural movement and blood flow.

  5. Smooth the Tape: Press and smooth out the tape, removing any wrinkles or bubbles to ensure it adheres properly to your skin.

  6. Secure the Edges: Make sure the edges are securely adhered to your skin, and gently press down the tape to ensure it sticks well.
