Wrist Support

TrailMed K-Tape for Wrist

Follow these simple steps to tape your wrists:

  1. Clean and Dry: Ensure your wrist is clean and dry to help the tape adhere better and stay in place longer.

  2. Measure and Cut: Cut a piece of K tape long enough to wrap around your wrist. Round the corners of the tape to prevent it from peeling off easily.

  3. Anchor the Tape: Start by anchoring one end of the tape on the back of your hand, just below the knuckles and gently wrap the tape around your wrist, covering the area of discomfort. Ensure the tape is snug but not too tight to allow for natural movement and blood flow.

  4. Smooth the Tape: Secure the edges, ensure they are securely adhered to your skin, and gently press down the tape to ensure it sticks well.

Wrists can experience strain and discomfort during various activities, especially for runners, cyclists, hikers, and swimmers. TrailMed's Kinesiology Tape (K tape) is a fantastic solution for providing pain relief and support to your wrists, allowing you to stay active and comfortable.

Thumb Support

TrailMed K-Tape for Thumb Support

TrailMed K-Tape is a versatile and effective tool for providing support and pain relief for various injuries, including thumb pain. Whether you're dealing with conditions like De Quervain Syndrome, arthritis, or general thumb strain, K-Tape can help stabilize the joint, reduce pain, and improve mobility. This guide will walk you through the steps to properly apply TrailMed K-Tape to your thumb for optimal support and relief.

Follow These Simple Steps to Tape Your Thumb

  1. Clean and Dry: Ensure the thumb and wrist area are clean and dry to help the tape adhere better and stay in place longer.

  2. Measure and Cut: Cut one piece of K-tape long enough to extend from the back of your forearm, across the base of your thumb, and up along the side of your thumb. Cut this piece in half lengthways and round the corners of the tape to prevent it from peeling off easily.

  3. Anchor the Tape on the Wrist: Start by anchoring one end of the first piece of tape on the back of your wrist or forearm. Extend the tape across the base of your thumb joint and then up along the side of your thumb. Apply the tape with a slight to moderate stretch (around 25-50%) as it crosses the thumb joint and runs along the thumb. Then, the second piece is applied around the base of the thumb or across the thumb joint, anchoring both ends without stretch.

  4. Smooth the Tape: Make sure the edges of the tape are securely adhered to your skin. Gently press down the tape to ensure it sticks well and check comfort by moving your thumb and wrist gently to ensure the tape feels comfortable and provides the desired support without restricting movement excessively.
