TrailMed | K-Tape | Support | Hamstrings
TrailMed K-Tape is an excellent choice for athletes who need support and pain relief for their hamstrings. This taping method is particularly beneficial for cyclists, runners, and walkers who often experience muscle strains, tightness, or injuries in the hamstring area. Properly applying K-Tape can help stabilize the muscles, reduce pain, and enhance overall performance.
Follow These Simple Steps to Tape Your Hamstrings
Prepare the Tape: Cut two strips of TrailMed K-Tape, each about 18-20 inches long. Round the corners of the tape to prevent peeling.
Anchor Strip: Peel the backing off one strip and apply it horizontally across the upper hamstring, just below the glute. Rub the tape to activate the adhesive.
Support Strip: Peel the backing off the second strip and apply it vertically along the centre of the hamstring muscle, starting from the upper thigh and extending down to just above the knee. Rub the tape to ensure it adheres well.
Tension Strip: For additional support, cut a shorter strip of tape (around 8-10 inches) and apply it diagonally across the hamstring muscle, crossing the first two strips. Apply the tape with moderate tension to provide extra stability.
Final Adjustments: Ensure the tape is securely in place and make any necessary adjustments to ensure comfort and proper support.
Rub the Tape: Rub the tape gently to activate the adhesive and ensure it sticks well to your skin.
