TrailMed | K-Tape | Support | Calf

TrailMed K-Tape is an excellent tool for providing support and pain relief for the calf muscles, particularly beneficial for athletes such as cyclists, runners, and walkers. This taping method can help alleviate discomfort, reduce inflammation, and provide stability for the calf area, enabling you to maintain peak performance and reduce the risk of further injury. TrailMed K-Tape can effectively support various calf-related conditions, including calf strains, muscle cramps, Achilles tendonitis, and general calf pain.

Follow These Simple Steps to Tape Your Calf

  1. Prepare the Tape: Cut two strips of TrailMed K-Tape, each about 18-20 inches long. Round the corners of the tape to prevent peeling.

  2. Anchor Strip: Peel the backing off one strip and apply it vertically along the back of the calf, starting just above the ankle and extending up towards the back of the knee. Rub the tape to activate the adhesive.

  3. Support Strip: Peel the backing off the second strip and apply it parallel to the first strip, slightly offset to provide comprehensive coverage. Rub the tape to ensure it adheres well.

  4. Tension Strip: For additional support, cut a shorter strip of tape (around 6-8 inches) and apply it horizontally across the calf, crossing the first two strips at the most painful area. Apply the tape with moderate tension to provide extra stability.

  5. Final Adjustments: Ensure the tape is securely in place and make any necessary adjustments to ensure comfort and proper support.

  6. Rub the Tape: Rub the tape gently to activate the adhesive and ensure it sticks well to your skin.
