| Achilles Tendonitis
TrailMed K-Tape is an excellent tool for providing support and pain relief for Achilles tendonitis, particularly beneficial for athletes such as cyclists, runners, and walkers. This taping method can help alleviate discomfort, reduce inflammation, and provide stability for the Achilles tendon, enabling you to maintain peak performance and reduce the risk of further injury. TrailMed K-Tape can support various conditions, including Achilles tendonitis, heel pain, calf strains, and general Achilles discomfort.
Follow These Simple Steps to Tape Your Achilles Tendon
Prepare the Tape: Cut two strips of TrailMed K-Tape, each about 12-14 inches long. Round the corners of the tape to prevent peeling.
Anchor Strip: Peel the backing off one strip and apply it vertically along the back of the heel, starting from the bottom of the foot and extending up towards the calf. Rub the tape to activate the adhesive.
Support Strip: Peel the backing off the second strip and apply it parallel to the first strip, slightly offset to provide comprehensive coverage. Rub the tape to ensure it adheres well.
Tension Strip: For additional support, cut a shorter strip of tape (around 6-8 inches) and apply it horizontally across the back of the heel, crossing the first two strips. Apply the tape with moderate tension to provide extra stability.
Final Adjustments: Ensure the tape is securely in place and make any necessary adjustments to ensure comfort and proper support.
Rub the Tape: Rub the tape gently to activate the adhesive and ensure it sticks well to your skin.
