TransAndean Coast to Coast | Peaks and Pedals
Dr. Robyn Sercombe, an experienced expedition doctor employed by TrailMed, took on the demanding Rat Race Trans Andean Coast to Coast cycling event. This gruelling 1700km route across Argentina's toughest terrain involved managing a myriad of challenges, from saddle sores and trauma to heat-related illnesses and altitude effects. Dr. Sercombe's expertise and dedication ensured that participants remained safe and healthy throughout this epic adventure.
Ultra X Jordan | Adventure for all
Ultra X Jordan takes place in the mars-like landscape chosen for the filming of The Martian.. The mystical desert course takes competitors past historic sites, into dramatic wadis and over magnificent sand dunes. As Ultra X's official event medical partner, TrailMed was pleased to support Ultra X again on this 5-stage ultramarathon in the Wadi Rum in Jordan.
Ride Across Britain: A Challenge of a Lifetime
Ride Across Britain is a huge event ran by our partner Threshold Sports, for which TrailMed is privileged to provide the event medical cover service. It’s busy, but we take this in our stride, thanks to our excellent medical team of doctors, paramedics, and ambulance crews! This bi-annual event now hosts 700 cyclists over 9 days as they cycle the 980 miles from Land's End to John O Groats.
The Warmest Welcome
I got involved with TrailMed as a med student after hearing about it from a friend, and soon enough, I found myself on my way to my first event: the Jurassic Coast Challenge.
Happy Feet, Happy Trails
As we wall know, blisters on events are typically caused by friction, heat, and moisture. When walking long distances with ill-fitting shoes or socks. TrailMed shares with you tips and tricks to keep your feet and thus your trail experience happy!
