Optimise is our gold-standard health assessment, offering the most in-depth evaluation for those seeking complete insight into their well-being. Optimise provides a fully rounded analysis, equipping you with the knowledge to enhance every aspect of your health.

What sets optimise apart?

Exercise Stress Test - This assessment takes our cardiovascular screening to the next level. We use a medical Cardio-pulmonary exercise test to assess your heart, lung and metabolic function throughout exercise. We use this test to spot signs of cardiac arrhythmias, ischaemia, coronary heart disease and other abnormalities. This test will also measure your blood pressure response during exercise, assess lung membrane efficiency and accurately measure your VO2max.

Advanced Blood Profile (46 biomarkers) - The Optimise blood test, assesses 25 more biomarkers than our Energise assessment! As well as the blood markers measured in our Energise blood test, this upgraded profile explores: Hormones (Testosterone, LH, FSH and Oestradiol based on biological sex), Advanced Diabetes Check (HbA1c), Immune function (White blood cells), Oxygen carrying capacity (Red blood cells), Clotting status (MPV and Platelets), Inflammation (High sensitivity CRP), Metabolism (measuring Thyroid hormones including TSH Free T3 and Free Thyroxine), and Gout risk (Uric acid)

Training Zones - With the results from the exercise stress test, we will calculate heart rate zones to guide your training.

Resting metabolic rate - We use indirect calorimetry to measure your resting metabolic rate. This measures how many calories you use at rest. This metric is used to calculate your daily energy use and outline a daily calorie intake to align with your goals.

What else is included?

Our Optimise assessment includes all of the metrics taken in our Balance and Energise assessments such as body composition, liver, kidney and lung function, movement screening, health advice, and lots more! Here’s a complete list of what we’ll measure:

About you - To provide the best support for you, we need to understand your personal health and medical history.

Health Advice - To help you lead a healthier life, we’ll provide you with information on key topics such as diet, exercise, stress management, cancer screening and much more!

Heart Assessment - We use an 12 lead ECG test to examine your heart rhythm and check for abnormalities such as an irregular heart beat. People with an irregular heartbeat are 5 times more likely to suffer a stroke than those without. To assess your heart disease and stroke risk we’ll assess your ECG alongside your lipid profile, BMI and blood pressure).

Lung Function - Our Spirometry assessment examines your lung function to check for conditions such as asthma, emphysema, bronchitis, or COPD.

Liver Function - We measure 4 biomarkers: bilirubin, ALP, ALT, and GammaGT to assess liver function. These metrics allow us to screen for liver and bone diseases as well as damage caused by alcohol, fatty liver, drugs or viruses such as hepatitis.

Kidney Function - Your blood test will measure Creatinine, allowing us to review kidney function. We also measure eGFR (estimated glomerular filtration rate) so we can assess kidney function.

Cholesterol Status - Your blood test will include a comprehensive lipid profile measuring total cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, and more. High levels of LDL cholesterol increases your risk of a heart attack or stroke due to fatty build-ups in the arteries.

Vitamins - To better understand your health, we measure your vitamin D (essential for bone health and immune function), Iron (important for red blood cell production) and Vitamin B12 levels (key for energy levels).

Body Composition - Your body composition will be measured using bio-impedance analysis. We’ll give you a breakdown of key metrics such as lean body mass, body fat percentage, bone mass, BMI and more.

Movement Screening - Your movement screening looks at your strength, mobility and stability across your whole body.

Blood Pressure - We use an arm cuff to measure systolic and diastolic blood pressure, helping identify high or low blood pressure.

Heart Disease and Stroke Risk - To assess your heart disease and stroke risk we’ll combine results from your health assessment (including your lipid profile, BMI and blood pressure). Your result will indicate your risk of heart disease or a stroke in the future.
